Club Tournament Rules

1. All Club Tournaments must be played as scheduled in the company of fellow competitors.

2. Any player who cannot meet the schedule must contact his or her opponent and arrange a makeup match. Both players may be disqualified if a mutual agreement to play cannot be arranged within the schedule.

3. All new players must have posted at least the following number of *KINGSWOOD rounds in the current calendar year to compete in the following Club Tournaments:

4. All eighteen- (18-) and nine- (9-) hole scores must be posted in the manner required by the Handicap committee. The scores must conform to USGA handicap rules.  The Golf Committee can adjust any player’s handicap fairly and equitably.

5. The Butler, Memorial, and Fall Classic must be entered into the GHIN computer as a Tournament Score and designated with a “T” next to the score. If there are any questions on how scores should be posted, please contact the Handicap Committee Chairperson or Pro Shop

6. Certain tournaments may require that fellow competitors attest all scorecards. These rules will be at the discretion of the Tournament Chairperson.

7. All tournament decisions will be made by the Tournament Committee and are final.

8. Players must be in good standing with the Club to qualify for Club Tournaments, unless given permission by the Board of Directors. Accounts over 45 days are not in good standing.

9. The following tournaments have no entry fee: All Club Championships, Butler Medal, Memorial Tournament, and 2-Ball Tournaments.

10. Entry fee Tournaments: If player withdraws after the sign-up closes, that player will forfeit the entry fee and their account charged.

11. USGA and Local rules are in affect during all Club Tournaments.

12. Lifetime Members will pay $30 per tournament participation in the Men’s 2-Ball and Club Championship.

13. An additional $6 will be charged per person for tournaments to be used for Pro Shop prizes. Members will be given Pro Shop credit, not gift certificates, for all club-sponsored tournaments/events.

14. Pro Shop credits or awards must be used the year they are awarded by the end of October and Pro Shop credit is non-transferable to other Members.

15. In Social Tournament, a team may include a guest of one of the Members. 16. If you sign up for a tournament and cancel after the sign-up deadline or do not show up for a tournament, you will be charged the tournament fee unless a replacement player has been found.
