Course Rules

As with all golf courses, rules are necessary to protect the course, the players on it, and to assure fair and responsible play.  Although Kingswood Golf Club is open to the public, we respectfully request that all golfers who come to play abide by the dress code and rules.

  1. Proper golf attire is required at all times and is at the discretion of the Pro Shop desk. Shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. Collared shirts and mock turtlenecks are proper.  Jeans/denim, T-Shirts, tank tops, and cutoff shorts are not permitted on the course or practice facility.
  2. No pull carts or golf carts near or on the greens. No golf carts or pull carts within 20 yards of the greens, unless on cart paths.  Unless the course is cart path only, use 90-degree rule at all times.  Please check the posted rule for the day at the 1st tee.
  3. Local Rules. See Pro Shop bulletin board.
  4. Replace divots, repair ball marks, and return rakes to outside of traps (tines down, thank you).
  5. Keep up with group in front of you. Let faster players play through.
  6. Priority on golf course shall be given to: (a) Foursome; (b) Threesome; (c) Twosome.
  7. No more than a foursome allowed on the course from May 15 through September 15 before 5:00 PM and at the discretion of the Pro Shop.
  8. No round of golf will start before 6:30 AM without Pro Shop direction. Start of play could be delayed at the discretion of the Superintendent due to unplayable conditions, i.e. frost or rain.
  9. Twosomes will be paired by Pro Shop Desk whenever possible – INCLUDING Club Tournaments.
  10. Tee times are in effect at all times. Members (and waiting list) may reserve tee times 14 days in advance.  Non-members 7 days in advance for allocated times or 3 days in advance other times.
  11. All golfers must check in with the Pro Shop prior to their round.
  12. Rainy Days: 9-hole rain checks after 5 holes of play. No rain checks will be issued after 14 holes of play.
  13. No more than two (2) rental carts per foursome.
  14. No more than two (2) riders and two (2) sets of clubs in a rented cart.
  15. Rental carts may not be driven by those under 18 years of age and shall be operated by licensed drivers only.
  16. As a courtesy to other golfers and for safety reasons, family pets are not permitted on the golf course or in the Clubhouse.
